Coaching for the Coach
No one wants a perfect Health Coach. I may have a lot of knowledge and wisdom in certain realms of the Circle of Life, but I will not purport to being an expert in its entirety or having my whole life constantly in balance. I want to be real, I prefer to offer my clients authenticity, I strive to admit when I don’t have all the answers, and I plan to keep improving myself.
I'm a lifelong learner. It's important for me to keep growing steadily throughout my life. As I've met obstacles and bumps in the road and felt challenged with having the right tools to navigate, I knew, as a humbled Health Coach, that it could be helpful to have my own guide. There are many teachers, mentors, and leaders in my life who offer wisdom and experience on my journey and the time felt ripe for me to go one step further and find my own "coach."
This month, I excitedly started working with with a "Transformation Strategist." She's next to me in the photo below that we took just moments after meeting for the first time at the end of a challenging 10+ mile hike in the Adirondacks last September...a trip which was largely based on great trust in humanity.
Not only is my coach helping me move along my path and into my goals—so far mostly with expanding in the business realm—but she is showing me how to be a better guide myself. I appreciate how she holds me accountable, diplomatically makes me hear what is actually coming out of my mouth (hello self-sabotage!), and asks me hard questions.
I'm grateful that at this point in post-pandemic time we can connect near and far. I will be sourcing my coach’s wisdom and guidance from Ottawa, Ontario and starting with a 6-week program to learn how to better show up in my power and free myself from fragility of all sorts. I am open to change and growth. I am ready to be vulnerable and more honest with myself. And I can't wait to see where I go.
