What is a Health Coach?

A Health Coach serves as a supportive mentor and wellness authority to help people feel their best through individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet their unique needs and health goals.

Who is Annie as a Health Coach?

Annie is “a creative,” an integrative mover, a connector, and an empath. She uses her 20 years of experience in the wellness realm to bring nutrition and culinary arts, yoga/meditation, dance, drumming, and community building together. Her sensitive, intuitive nature and life experience in relationships and spirituality enhances the space for people to feel safe and accepted as they learn about food, movement, breathwork, and curating a more holistic lifestyle.

What is my Health Coaching approach?

As a Health Coach, I focus on bio-individuality--the idea that we’re all different and have unique dietary, lifestyle, emotional, and physical needs. Mine is not a one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness. I work with clients to discover how to fuel their bodies, live a healthy lifestyle, and become the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves by finding exactly what works for them.

My approach functions beyond the plate by focusing on nourishment through primary foods—the areas of life that impact our short- and long-term health just as much as the food we eat--such as relationships, career, spirituality, physical activity, and environment.

I am open to consultations with anyone interested in improving their health in a holistic way. And I am most interested in working with women, especially those going through a life transition such as pregnancy, parenthood, divorce, menopause, empty nest, retirement, and those hoping to maintain or improve vitality and activity levels as they age.

What are Primary Foods?

Primary Foods are what nourish us off the plate. Through my training with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), I learned about the Circle of Life, a holistic tool used to identify the balance and satisfaction of primary and secondary foods. With this tool, we can see what’s lacking and occasionally check in to notice how all the pieces feel over time.

The 12 areas of the circle include: Spirituality, Creativity, Finances, Career, Education, Health, Physical Activity, Home Cooking, Home Environment, Relationships, Social Life, and Joy.

We place dots on each line to indicate how satisfied we are in each of the areas. A dot closer towards the center indicates more dissatisfaction and a dot towards the periphery of the circle shows greater satisfaction. We connect all the dots to see how closely it resembles a circle. Then we can determine how we want to spend our time and other resources to create more satisfaction and balance in each area.

Part of my coaching practice is to check in with clients once per month during the 6-Month Program to notice their progress. You may never reach a perfect circle or you may notice that the dots and lines ebb and flow, which is completely and beautifully human!

  • 1-hour Private yoga session (to accommodate your schedule or work on alignment, in my private home studio)

  • 1-hour Culinary Knife Skills class (I bring all the fruits and vegetables)

  • 1-hour Intentions Setting session

  • 1-hour walk-and-talk (think of this as a coaching session in motion)

  • One 2-serving meal preparation (for pickup or delivery—added fee)

  • 1-hour “Iron Chef” consultation to aid your budget, invite creativity, and reduce waste (you show or tell me what’s in your pantry/fridge/freezer/garden and I will help you come up with 3 unique meal ideas)

  • $65 each or bundle and save:
