The Value of Women’s Circles

Perhaps you’ve heard that we are starting something new in 2024 regarding a women’s circle. Our Goddess Circles begin the second Friday in January from 6-8 PM and continue monthly into June. This idea flows from the energy I began creating last year with a small women’s circle in my home that was a direct response to the call for more likeminded women and building a sense of community.

Women’s Circles have been around for centuries. They are a safe place where women can connect, share, and empower. They honor our ancestors, create a space for community, reinforce female strength and sisterhood, celebrate the feminine divine, cultivate safety in sharing, and encourage self-care.

A women’s circle is a time to celebrate ourselves our feminine essence, to encourage originality and uniqueness in our fellow women, and to let your authentic self shine! In that space we can pay homage to our female ancestors through unity and ritual and take to consider the generations who paved the way for the opportunities available to women today. As an inclusive space, women’s circle welcome all ages and brings the generations together.

A women’s circle reminds us to treat each other as allies rather than competition. It’s a chance to tap into the divine feminine, reawaken our connection to intuition, imagination, and the ability to flow with the rhythms of life. As we reconnect with the divine feminine through these circles, we can better express that wisdom within our relationships, families, and communities, and begin to restore the balance of the masculine and feminine in the world at large.

Women’s circles give individuals a chance to speak their truth without judgment. Sharing with supportive, empowering women releases the weight of our burdens. We shed light on our fears to diminish their power and subsequently step beyond the wall of fear into the freedom of our strength and divine light.

The focus of our 2024 Goddess Circles is on the Hindu Dieties/Goddesses, though this is c cultural and potentially spiritual event, not a religious gathering. In January we will explore new beginnings, intentions, and creativity. February: living from the heart. March: transformation/time, allowing your process. April: our relationship to money and what is enough. May: self-care. And June: Curiosity and wisdom. I am so excited to dive into these ideas with you all!

We will co-create in this group as Jenny Urbanek (from Integration Healing) and I merge our unique knowledge and experiences in yoga, meditation, art, culture, spirituality, and community-building to guide you through each session. So far, the majority of those registered are committing to the 6-month experience, which will help us build strong bonds. We are open to individuals joining if there is a la carte space. We hope you will see this as an investment in yourself on your healing journey through this one wild and precious life. Please join us!
