Welcome 2021!

Happy New Year! As I settled back into my regular teaching schedule today I felt full of gratitude for the beautiful holiday break. It was different than any other year, of course, but still very meaningful and full of love and light.

Now focusing on my vision for 2021, a new year towards which I feel much optimism. Seeing what I/we could accomplish in a pandemic year--both because of limits and in spite of limits--I have a better idea of what’s meaningful in my life and a clearer path for the next twelve months. While I’m setting my sights high and intend to waste no time getting after my goals, I also plan to allow grace, rest, and space for spontaneity. My ambitious Goals/Intentions are simply a roadmap for the new year; I’m free to go off-roading as I see fit.

It's the first year I set themes. Focus (boundaries, attention), Curiosity (follow new interests w/ regard to focus), Letting Go (releasing what is not meant for me right now as well as lightening the material load), and More Being, Less Doing (allowing more space and time for rest/digest).

I intend to thoroughly challenge myself physically, mentally emotionally, spiritually and am grateful to have at least one person who agrees to hold me accountable. The unabridged bullet-pointed list seems like a tall order and an outsider may perceive contradicting goals (i.e. powering into new adventures and doing less), but I start somewhere. The main thing is to START.

How are you feeling about the potential of this new year? What intentions and goals are you setting? What limits do you already perceive? Best wishes in getting your ideas off the ground and feeling grounded in the process. Namaste.
